The First Bremer Embracelet

What is a Bremer Em[brace]let? It's a genuine gemstone beaded bracelet crafted to fill the wearer with that warm-fuzzy feeling you get after a hug! A cute and versatile piece of jewelry crafted from natural gemstones to bring a smile to your face and a difference to the community! Our first Bremer Embracelet was born out of the Bremer family's desire to make a difference while sheltering in place! Check out our press release below:
Bremer Jewelry launched a fundraising initiative on March 28th with a goal of raising more than $5,000 for the local Midwest Food Bank chapters in Peoria and Bloomington-Normal. Using their e-commerce platform, the locally-owned, family-owned jewelry store released their first “Bremer Embracelet,” a $40 beaded bracelet created to inspire hope and raise funds. Each bracelet sale generated a $20 donation to the Midwest Food Bank, the other $20 covering the production and shipping costs of the bracelet. At the end of 14 days, after hand-delivering and shipping 264 bracelets, the family at Bremer Jewelry was able to deliver a check for $5,280 to the Midwest Food Bank.
“It’s incredibly hard to sit at home when all you want to do is help,” says Bremer Marketing Manager, Ashley Stegall. “I knew we couldn’t be the only business feeling that way, so we teamed up with one of our designers and made this happen as fast as we could. The response was immediate, overwhelming, and inspiring. We look forward to doing it again with another local organization.”
“Most people don’t realize that one of our organization’s greatest needs is funding the distribution of our donated food. This donation from Bremer will facilitate the distribution of over $150,000 of food to local individuals and families in need,” says Jada Hoerr, Development and Relations Director.
Even though the Embracelets are no longer available, you can still participate. Stegall states, “We’re not done here. Our family decided that 10% of all website sales for the Mother’s Day season, from April 16th to May 6th, will be donated to the local Midwest Food Bank chapters.”
