WHAT TO EXPECT

Most diamond shoppers want to research information on the internet before even stepping foot inside a jewelry store. Our advice? Proceed with caution. Diamonds are incredibly unique. Two diamonds that seem to be matching on paper, can look completely different in person.

TheDiamond_Website_1to1_Experience

Of course, the best kind of education you can receive is from the experts at Bremer Jewelry with the diamonds and rings right in front of you. We are a no pressure kind of family. Our biggest goal is to make sure you are given all the correct information so you can make the best diamond decision.

We go beyond the 4 C’s to make sure you are knowledgeable and happy with your diamond purchase. Handing over the reins, we give you the same tools that our diamond buyer uses everyday.

You can inspect each diamond, taking as much time as you want to look each one over. We make sure that you get to see the diamonds in all different kinds of light atmospheres, as well. At the end of the day, remember that it’s about which diamond is the prettiest, not what’s printed on a piece of paper.

GET TO KNOW YOUR DIAMOND

THE COLOR GRADING TRAY

Just as Nate uses the grading tray to discern a diamond’s color grade, you can do the same. We view the diamonds upside down to more accurately display their true color. This technique makes comparing multiple diamonds easier and more accurately.

THE JEWELERS’ LOUPE

With the same 10x maginification as the gemscope, a jewelers’ loupe allows you to really focus in on any angle of the diamond you wish to inspect. Don’t worry if it takes a while to get focused! By the end of your diamond viewing, you’re sure to be an expert.

THE DIAMOND SCALE

The term “carat” refers to how much a diamond weighs. A one carat diamond weighs 1.00 carats. There are 100 “points” in one carat, so you may hear us use “points” or “carats” when referring to weight. We want you to weigh your diamond to ensure it exactly matches our grading report.

THE TWEEZERS & PLUNGER

Although the latter has a less-than-desirable name, these tools are essential to your diamond viewing experience as they allow you to hold the diamond as you visit different light atmospheres throughout the store, as well as comparing two diamonds side by side.

THE GEMSCOPE

You can also view your diamond under a 10x plus magnification gemscope. We use these for our professional jewelry inspections, as well. The gemscope allows you to see any imperfections in the diamond and compare your diamonds in a way you never could with the naked eye.

THE FOREVERMARK VIEWER

Each Forevermark diamond is inscribed with the Forevermark Icon and a unique identification number as a promise that it is beautiful, rare, and responsibly sourced. The inscription can only be seen with a Forevermark Viewer, which offers superb magnification and clarity.
